Summer-itis

I have summer-itis SOOO badly right now. I CAN'T WAIT for summer to be here! I need a break. And, this summer, I'll be getting one!! Several, actually.
In June, I'm supposed to go to Schlitterbahn with my life group for a weekend
I'm going to Ohio for 10 days!
In July, KIDS CAMP!
and then, in August, I'm going on a CRUISE! I am SO stinkin' excited....the BEST part about it is my entire family is going!
Mom
Bill
Kasey
Me
Grandpa
Aunt Maggie
Aunt Barb
Megan
Tori
Amanda
Uncle John (?--maybe?)

11 of us. Unfortunately, they told me now instead of after finals, so all I want to do is research shore excursions (I really want to do something underwater or a zip lining/para sailing one) and cheapest cruise prices!

Yay for fun times!!!

Blue Angels Air Show Pictures!

Blue Angels Air Show

Today Brittany, Curtis, Korbyn, and I went to the Blue Angels Airshow on base. It was so much fun...I'm gonna miss them so much when they move in 3 weeks. :( Okay, not gonna cry---gonna tell you about our fun day!

We started off the day with Brittany, Korbyn & I eating breakfast. Brittany cooked for eggs, bacon, biscuits, and chocolate gravy for me! Chocolate gravy is SOOOO yummy. She says it's an Arkansas thing (have you had it, Kasey?)...and trust me, its good...i need to remember to ask her for the recipe.
Later on, we went to the airshow and watched the Blue Angels do some fun flips and turns and all sorts of cool looking stuff that would make me throw up if I was in the plane, lol. Korbyn was so good & actually slept for probably 30 minutes or so while the BAs were flying everywhere & being so loud.

Here's the pics (and I'm trying to put them in a slide show...I am too impatient to wait for them to upload the other way):

My Productive Day

Yesterday, my aunt borrowed my car, so I decided that I would use all day to study and write my Voltaire paper for Philosophy. While the books lay open and the laptop turned on, I:
  • did 4 loads of laundry
  • washed & dried sheets & comforter
  • sorted through some old clothes to take to Goodwill
  • organized my closet
  • cleaned my bathtub
  • hung my newest crosses & picture I got for Christmas
  • hung my dry erase calendar on the wall
  • moved my bed
  • cleaned out Pablo's fish bowl (for the first time since Christmas)
  • semi-reorganized my scrapbooking drawers
  • and began organizing/throwing away the other junk that has accumulated.
  • after dropping my car @ my aunt's, I ran home the 3.4 miles!
So, while my Voltaire paper still sits, waiting to be written, at least I have a clean closet???

Cruise???

When my grandma passed away last month, my grandpa talked about how much he would like to go on a cruise as a family. At the time, I thought it would be fun, but didn't really think it would happen.

I got home from class tonight & my mom told me to check my summer schedule and give me a list of available dates that I could go on a cruise because Grandpa had called and DOES want to go on a cruise this summer! I'm super excited....how cool will that be???

hmm...I need to get a passport. I don't even know where to begin on that one...

It's all Greek to me!

I am so excited about next semester. I just found out that the Christian school will be offering Greek! I'm going to take it!!!

So, I'll be at the Christian School, full time, taking 13 hours:
Church Leadership (3hrs)
World Religions (3hrs)
Survey of Religious Education (3hrs)
Greek (4hrs).

H-O-O-K-S game & Easter Festival & more

Today was our church's 8th annual Easter Festival. It was AWESOME. It rained off and on throughout the day, but we still had a blast. Check out PJohn's blog for more info & pictures....

Amanda, Tori, and I went to the Hooks game tonight & had an absolute blast! Those two are crazy-fun. We had second row tickets right on the 3rd baseline. :) It was chilly (even Tori thought so) and I was very much thankful that Amanda had a blanket in her car. We are definitely doing it again soooon (hint hint Amanda...need free tickets again ;) ). Here's a couple pics from tonight...and, unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get a picture with all three of us in it.

On another note, Amanda & I will be running a 5k this coming Saturday. It should be fun...if I make it. LOL.

Beach to Bay is quickly approaching. 5 weeks from today (aah!!!) I got a team together with friends from church (and one from school). It's gonna be a blast. Some of us have started running every morning at 515. I have done that once so far, but I'm going to try to run MWF of this week at 515 and TR I'll go to the gym...But...we'll see how that works. Lord knows how much early mornings & I don't get along. LOL.
Funny story: Last Tuesday, I went and ran with them at 515 & came home to shower & get ready for school. I was so tired that when I got out of the shower & began to put lotion on my legs, I realized that I had only shaved one leg. Genius, I am.

Ouch...hahhahaha

Today I got my first four of EIGHT fillings that I have to get. I have eight surface cavities (which my dentist--whom I babysit for :) -- said isn't that bad since I haven't really been to a dentist in at least 10 years).
Anyway, I was SCARED to death. Like so insanely scared...not really of the drilling or anything because I knew once I was numbed I wouldn't be able to feel it...but of the numbing process--a shot in the mouth. I HATE HATE HATE needles. I tend to pass out or get pretty close to it.

I expressed to Brady (my dentist) how scared I was & he recommended that I take the laughing gas; it would help me relax. (Tori, did you notice I used a semicolon? Did I use it correctly, Ms. Grammar?) I was a little worried that the gas would make me unable to drive, so Audie came with me (Thanks, A).

They put the gas on me & at first I didn't really feel any difference. But, after awhile, I was VERY relaxed. Some people say they remember what happened while they were on the gas...but I don't. I remember A saying that I looked like Mike Wazowski from Monster's Inc because I had this nose thing on & the angle she was sitting at, she could only see the left side of my face...I remember laughing a lot about that & Brady saying to turn the gas down...LoL. I also vaguely remember Brady and I talking about Brad Paisley...not sure what about though, it must have been because GAC was on the tv in the room.

But, he filled in the 4 on the right side & I've got an appointment for the other 4 on the 22nd. I'm not too worried about it...in fact, I'm not at all...just give me the Happy Gas!!! :)
