She fought to her last breath. Her body was so strong, but she had so much brain damage, that the doctors said there was no hope at all. It turns out that when she had her stroke she also had a siezure. This caused so much bleeding on her brain that her brain actually shifted. The doctors said that she could basically live on the ventilator in a nursing home but that she would not have any quality of life. So, my grandpa made one of the hardest choices in his life to take her off the ventilator. She came off of the ventilator at about 230pm. They only expected her to live a few minutes, but she kept on breathing and fighting strong until about 5pm when she breathed her last breath. She is going to be missed dearly, but we know she's in a much better place.
Please be in prayer for her husband, Mark, sons Bill and John, my mom, Kasey, her half-sister Brittany, and for me.
thank you so much.
