7. This walk is billed as the family reunion for MDA clients. As an indoor walk, people of all mobility levels can join in on the fun. The people that benefit from the walk, participate and you can see who you're helping.

5. MDA research has been helpful in identifying several genes for not only the neuromuscular diseases covered in MDA's program, but other diseases as well.
4. Because you and/or your children are healthy. Muscular dystrophy is thought of as a genetic disease and it often is, but there are several clients I know that were the first in their family to be affected. Some were diagnosed as children; others have an adult-onset disorder.

2. MDA uses approximately $0.79 of every dollar donated directly to client services and research. Only approximately $0.21 of every dollar is used towards administrative costs.
