Rain, Rain, Go Away...

Don't come back another day.

I really really do NOT like rain.

Especially with thunderstorms. And lightening. And tornadoes.

Hurricane Dolly...hurry up & leave, please.

Vacation & such...

My Vacation was nice. It involved a lot of traveling (see previous post), which was rather annoying, but it was fun. I got to see the Wojtek's again! I didn't realize how much I missed them until I heard Jacoby's voice over the phone the night before I got there...I mean, I knew that I missed them, but it was practically painful hearing his voice & not being able to scoop him up & give him big hugs. (But, i got to give big hugs to all 3 boys the next day). We all just relaxed & hung out while I was in Ark. Went shopping one day & to story time @ the library the next. Kasey & I got to talk a lot during naps & after the boys went to bed. Zach & Kasey & I all stayed up till like midnight, i think, the first night I was there. I really love them all, they're so great.

Then I went to my cousin Missy's house & met her ADORABLE baby boy, Lleyton. He's so cute. Her older son, Landen, was a ham, as usual. When he found out Juillet & I were both staying the night, he was like "This is the best night of my life!" lol. Then Juillet, Landen & I were all sitting on the couch with our feet propped up on the coffee table, watching Shrek 3 & eating popcorn. I put my arm around him, and he said, "Aahhh. Now I feel like I'm on vacation." He cracks me up!!!

We went to Schlitterbahn the next day. I was too impatient with the lines & we ended up leaving at like 530. (We got there about 1130, so that was 6 hours...)

We hung out in San Antonio Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night. We went to Grace Point church & heard an awesome message from Mike Sharrow. You can hear it here. (It's the one called Ready to Learn). I also got to walk through their children's area. It was pretty much the same as it was last year when I went there for Leadership Summit, but they're making lots of fun, exciting changes starting in August.

I've spent this week getting back into the swing of things. I'm pretty tired, so I shall bid you all adieu.

Kids Camp, Daisy, & Arkansas

Kids camp came and went in with a whirlwind of events. All in one weekend, I had Oso Fun (practices and the actual event), my cousin got her baby, Carter, back, i had to pack for camp, clean the house (because mom & bill were coming back from Alaska), and make sure everything was in line for Camp. whew.

In the midst of all that, my cat, Daisy, who I've had since I was four disappeared. I'm kinda still in denial that he's gone. I think. Maybe it's because I haven't seen his body that I don't really believe that he's gone. I still kinda have hope, I guess.

Well, tomorrow I'm leaving for Arkansas. I am SO SO SO excited! I miss my boys so much!

Juillet's coming with me as far as Dallas (well, technically Duncanville).
Depending what time we get to Duncanville will decide what time I'm leaving there on Monday. If I can get there & get to sleep quick, I'll leave around 630am (before all the dallas going to work traffic), which will put me in Russellville between 1230 and 1 (hopefully). If not, I'll probably leave around 9 or 930, putting me in Russellville between 3 and 4.
Then, I'll get to hang out with the Wojteks the rest of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then, I'll leave early Thursday morning (no later than 8...or 830...) and go back to Duncanville to pick up Juillet. I'll probably have her drive to Cedar Park (since I'll have driven for 6 hours already), where we will stay with Missy, Bryan, Landen, and Lleyton.
Friday we will head to SCHLITTERBAHN! and stay the whole day.
Friday night, my parents will hopefully meet us in San Antonio & we will hang with them Saturday and come back either Saturday or Sunday.

I am WAY WAY WAY excited...

and now i must go pack!

What an Amazing God...

When I first became Director of Children's Ministry and was scheduling volunteers by myself, I would be super nervous. On Saturdays, if I didn't have enough volunteers to serve in all the classes by noon, I would start freaking out & stressing big time. But, in the last 9 months, I have learned to just trust God, that He will always provide. Whether He provides by blessing me with more volunteers or if He is providing by having small enough classes that I can combine, I know He always will provide. I still get a little antsy, but I just keep the faith and pray & I know somehow that it will happen.

So, my point in all this is today. Today at 9am, I still needed 3 volunteers. By 945, I needed 5. I was starting to panic. I stopped & I prayed, "God, I know that You always provide, and I am asking you to please provide volunteers for the second service." So after the first service is over, I go in the sanctuary to see if there is anyone in there that I can ask to stay for the second and help. There were only two people in there, and they were doing sound & media. Everyone in the foyer was pretty much gone too. Then, I notice that two of the volunteers who had been at the first service were gone. So, now I'm thinking, I need 7 volunteers. Wow. Is it going to be possible? How many classes am I going to have to close. And then I realized that I wasn't completely 100% believing that God would provide. I said it, I prayed it, but was not sure He would. That kinda woke me up and I realized, you know, He does always provide. Every other time that I've not had enough He provided. Every time someone calls in sick, someone else will fill in. I think God was trying to tell me that He will provide when I fully believe Him. That no matter what the circumstances, He will take care of me, as long as I continue to believe. So I go back into the foyer & in walk the two volunteers who had left. So I only needed 5 more. I asked another person if she could help out somewhere, that I wasn't sure where yet, she said sure. 4 more. One of the teenagers came in and said she would help in the kinder class. 3 more. Then, I noticed a couple was just kinda standing near the bathrooms and they weren't really talking to anyone. They had served last week, so I didn't really want to ask them again, but I said to myself, "God's providing, why not." They said yes. That left one more. Then another lady came in and said that she was in the mood today to help with the babies. Then, another teenager came in and said that he would like to help in Son Harbor. So, that gave me one extra volunteer.

God is so amazing. I'm just in awe of Him right now. I can't even think of any other words right now. Amazing is the only word that can describe Him for me right now. Because He is AMAZING!!!

updates all around...

So, I haven't been to good at keeping this all updated. I've been really busy.

I'm babysitting 4 mornings a week 9am to 1 pm, every other Tuesday night, and every Friday night. PLUS other babysitting jobs. But, it seems like I'm just getting broker & broker. Maybe because I have a car payment now. Boo. (But, I do LOVE my car; it's great).

I've been swimming a lot & I am having a blast---it would be great to have a pool @ my house...

My parent's left this morning to go to Alaska for 15 days. (party @ my place--lol... j/k)

I am excited about going to Arkansas next month. I really miss Caleb, Jacoby, Easton, Kasey, and Zach.

I am also excited that Juillet will be joining me for part of the ride up there (I'll be dropping her in Dallas to visit her friend, Paula).

I am feeling very antsy lately- like something big and exciting is about to happen in my life (other than going to Arkansas) & so I've been really happy lately.

I took down the 32 (4X6) pictures hanging on my wall (of kids I babysit for), and I've started making a scrapbook. I think it'll take forever, since I'll always be adding new kiddos to the mix.

My 17 year old cousin needs your prayers--all I can say on here is that he's making some pretty stupid choices, that will probably end up killing him.

I haven't done much running since Beach to Bay (I ran this past Thursday morning, and only like 1.7 miles). But, I've been having a big time itch to run.

Jared & Heather got married last Saturday (06/07/08) & their wedding was beautiful. I pray that God gives them a wonderful marriage.

Kasey (step-sister) came to visit this last week, and we actually got along. She came with me to babysit for the Taylor's life group Sunday night, then she, mom, and I went swimming on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (at Audie's). She helped me babysit again on Thursday night while Erin had a jewelry party. Then Friday we ran errands, went to Chuck E. Cheese's to meet some of my friends. Then we went to the base pool with Jenny McD & hung out there.

Friday night, we had Family Pictures taken by the oh so wonderful Jade (she's so awesome!).

Okay, well, I am exhausted from staying up till 1 am this morning, then getting up at 5.
